"Trauma is a fact of life. It does not, however, have to be a life sentence." - Peter A. Levine.
With me, you can expect a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where you can express yourself openly. My approach is relational and informal. Come as you are, all parts of you are welcome here. I am a firm believer that we all hold the innate ability to heal what ails us, and I see myself as a guide to your own inner wisdom. Together, we will explore your strengths and walk the path towards your goals.
My practice is focused on treating trauma, including but not limited to, complex and developmental trauma, attachment trauma, medical trauma, childhood abuse and neglect, sexual assault, and vocational trauma. I also have training in treating depression and anxiety disorders using third wave cognitive therapies. My training encompasses evidence-based therapeutic methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Informed Yoga and other somatic interventions, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and parts work.
I've counseled individuals, couples, and families across outpatient clinics, community mental health centers, and medical environments since 2012. Moreover, as Clinical Supervisor, I've mentored intern social workers and emerging licensed professionals in social work. I am happy to support other helping professions who might be seeking extra support in their roles.
Outside of the therapy office, you'll find me spending time in nature, getting my hands dirty in the soil, relaxing in my hammock with a good book, or hiking with my dog, Sadie.
If you're considering therapy or have questions about how we might work together, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm here to help and look forward to our collaboration.
